Adirondack Trailways runs a service to the town of New Paltz, NY. From there it's just a quick cab ride of about 15 minutes to the dropzone. In New York City, you can get the bus at the Port Authority Bus Terminal. The terminal is located at 42 Street at 8th Avenue and is accessible by A,C,E subway trains. Phone number: 212-564-8484 Website: http://www.panynj.gov.
Departures from the Port Authority Bus Terminal to New Paltz will arrive in New Paltz 90 minutes later.
Directions (Please use our directions, people have had problems with Map Quest, please be careful!)
From the North (Albany, etc.)
Take NY Thruway (I-87) South to Exit 18 (New Paltz). After going through the toll, turn left at the traffic light onto Rt.299 West towards the town of New Paltz. Follow Rt.299 through town and turn left onto Rt.208 South. Follow Rt.208 for 6 miles and turn right onto Rt.44/55 West. Follow Rt.44/55 for about 1 mile to the town of Gardiner. You will pass the State Police and a Fire House on the right. Rt.44/55 then makes a sharp turn to the right and at the same time you will turn left onto Sand Hill Road. The Ranch is 1/4 mile on the left at the end of a long driveway. Please park in the grassy area provided. We are located in the big brown hangar.
From the South (New York City, etc.)
Take NY Thruway (I-87) North to Exit 17 (Newburgh-Stewart Airport). After going through the toll follow the signs to Rt. 300 North, make a left onto Rt.300 North. Follow Rt.300 to the intersection of Rt.300 and Rt.32 and proceed straight through the intersection onto Rt.32 North. Follow Rt.32 for 9 miles and turn left onto Rt.44/55 West. Follow Rt.44/55 for about 2.5 miles to the town of Gardiner. You will pass the State Police and a Fire House on the right. Rt.44/55 then makes a sharp turn to the right and at the same time you will turn left onto Sand Hill Road. The Ranch is 1/4 mile on the left at the end of a long driveway. From the East (Connecticut, etc.)
Take I-84 West across the Newburgh-Beacon Bridge (Hudson River) to Exit 7B, which puts you on Rt.300 North. Follow Rt.300 to the intersection of Rt.300 and Rt.32 and proceed straight through the intersection onto Rt.32 North. Follow Rt.32 for 9 miles and turn left onto Rt.44/55 West.
